1. Acceptance of Terms
By booking a trip with AfriOne Adventures ("we," "us," "our"), you ("the traveler," "you") agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions. Please read them carefully before confirming your booking.
2. Booking & Payment
A non-refundable deposit of 30% of the total trip cost is required to confirm your booking. The remaining balance is due 10 days before your departure date. Bookings made within 10 days of departure may require full payment at the time of booking.
3. Cancellation & Refund Policy
Cancellations must be submitted in writing (email or WhatsApp confirmation accepted). Refunds are calculated based on how far in advance you cancel: 60+ days before departure: deposit forfeited, remainder refunded. 30-59 days before departure: 50% of total cost refunded. Less than 20 days: no refund Certain third-party costs (flights, park permits, non-refundable accommodation) may not be recoverable regardless of timing, and any such non-refundable costs already incurred on your behalf will be deducted from any refund due.
4. Changes to Itinerary
Wildlife viewing, weather conditions, road access, and local circumstances in Tanzania and Kenya can be unpredictable. AfriOne Adventures reserves the right to modify itineraries, routes, or accommodations when necessary for safety, government regulation, or circumstances beyond our control, while making every reasonable effort to preserve the overall experience and value of your trip.
5. Travel Insurance
Comprehensive travel insurance- covering trip cancellation, medical emergencies, evacuation, and lost luggage- is strongly recommended for all travelers, and required for certain activities (e.g. Kilimanjaro trekking). Proof of insurance may be requested prior to departure.
6. Health, Safety & Assumption of Risk
Safari and trekking activities involve inherent risks, including but not limited to wildlife encounters, physical exertion, altitude (for Kilimanjaro/Mount Kenya treks), and travel in remote areas with limited medical facilities. By booking with us, you acknowledge and accept these risks. Travelers with pre-existing medical conditions should consult a physician before booking and disclose relevant conditions to us in advance.
7. Passports, Visas & Entry Requirements
Travelers are solely responsible for ensuring they hold a valid passport, appropriate visas, and any required vaccinations (e.g. Yellow Fever certificate, where applicable) for entry into Tanzania and/or Kenya. AfriOne Adventures is not liable for denied entry, missed travel, or additional costs resulting from a traveler's failure to meet these requirements.
8. Limitation of Liability
AfriOne Adventures acts as an organizer of travel services provided by third parties (lodges, camps, airlines, transport operators). While we carefully select our partners, we are not liable for the acts, omissions, or default of any third-party provider, nor for loss, injury, or damage resulting from circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including force majeure events
9. Force Majeure
AfriOne Adventures is not responsible for delays, cancellations, or changes resulting from events beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, extreme weather, political unrest, government action, pandemic-related restrictions, or park/border closures.
10. Traveler Conduct
Travelers are expected to follow the guidance of AfriOne guides and staff at all times, particularly regarding wildlife safety. We reserve the right to remove any traveler from an activity or trip, without refund, if their behavior poses a safety risk to themselves, other travelers, staff, or wildlife.
11. Photography & Marketing
Photos or videos taken by AfriOne staff during your trip may be used for marketing purposes (website, social media, brochures) unless you notify us in writing that you do not consent to this use.
